DOGSPOTTING: Little Lamby Named Sammy

OHMYGOD!!!!!!! YOU GUYS!!!!!! LOOK AT THIS LITTLE POCKET SIZED WONDER!!!!!! AAHHHHHHHHHH. I couldn't give up on my blog just yet-- not when THIS is in the world, and nobody is taking pictures of it to post on a creepy dog blog. Spotted in the Larchmont Village, Sammy, an itty-bitty, pure black mini-poodle. Quite possibly the cutest dog I have ever spotted, he stopped me in my tracks while out to lunch with a friend. He was shy, but friendly enough to pose for a picture. In my hiatus, I have still been dogspotting, squealing, and obsessing. I wanted to get back into the dog blogging game, but just couldn't find the motivation. Then THIS happened. His cuteness was of magic proportions. Magic so strong it brought me back from my bloggy grave. So thank you, Sammy. Thank you so much.

DOGSPOTTING: Jamie the Magnificent

I am so sorry it has been so long! I really am! And to prove to you that my love is true, I am back with one of the most majestic dogs ever spotted by this dogspotter. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... JAMIE. Look at him, REALLY look at him. Have you ever seen a more perfect poodle? And he does tricks! Spotted outside a grocery store in Del Mar, CA with his owner, he sat, stood, and tried to give me big hug and almost knocked me over (almost as tall as me on his hind legs). I learned a trick of my own too! I learned the proper way to introduce yourself to a new dog-friend-- the key is to let them smell your hand, then you slide your hand under the chin and start scratchin' those ears. I could have exchanged scratches with Jamie for hours, I mean, who WOULDN'T?!? Super soft, poofy hair and a show-winning personality. I think it is obvious that we just found Mr. February for the Beautiful-Fucking-Dogs 2012 Calendar.

DOGSPOTTING: Purse Pup

Life must be awesome for people with dogs small enough to carry around in a purse. I know you can take any medium sized dog around on a leash, but a dog you can sneak into places? That is some serious next level living. Not only that, this dog is freaking adorable! I am almost crying here. Sweet little thing. If this was my dog, I don't think I would ever stop kissing it's soft little head. I don't understand how people could dislike little dogs completely, or hate on toting them around in bags. Is this an especially small Yorkie? Or just a young itty bitty baby? I can't tell. Maybe it isn't a Yorkie. He looks too small and soft to be a Yorkie. Unreal. Maybe it isn't real at all...

DOGSPOTTING: Arthur the Doxie-Extraordinaire

I would like to introduce you all to Arthur, a serious little sweetheart Long-Haired Dachshund. You will be hard pressed to find a more delightful doxie (puppies excluded, doxie pups are unreal). Arthur was 1) ready and set for a belly rub 2) lived up to the hype with a seriously soft coat. I love that amber-reddish-brown color that many doxies have. It's so warm and comforting, like a cinnamon roll, BUT IT IS ALSO A DOG (x2 win). Oh man, and that face! Dachshunds don't have to speak English, that face just screams "Love me! Please! I am so sweet and cute! and will be your best friend ever! woof!" Dachshund is still my favorite dog breed, but if by some miracle I become a dog owner, I will probably get a non-shedding breed. WEEENNIEEEEE!!!!

DOGSPOTTING: Buggy

There is just something so intriguing about French Bulldogs. For the longest time I thought they were sort of weird looking, and noisy, but in the past few months they have made the crossover to being totally adorable. Maybe it's a so ugly it's cute thing, or like how exotic women are automatically more attractive than traditional looking women. Either way, the little fella' above captured my heart. Such a sweet, genuine, squishy face. Aaah! I am just melting looking at the picture! Actually, I met another Frenchie this weekend (forgot my camera! ugghh) named Peggie who was just ready to cuddle up next to me. They're winning me over, one snort at a time. I am still on team fluffy guys, but I would not mind being friends with this dog.
